RE: PROGRESS REPORT FOR THE MONTH OF JUNE AND JULY
TO: THE DISTRICT ADMINISTRATOR (MVUMA)
CC: THE SOCIAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT (MVUMA OFFICE)
TOPICS
• Progress for the month
• Challenges
• Way forward and initiatives
Progress or the month
In this previous month we have done quiet a bit of some ground work so that we straight away start on the assistance that we are already giving to the orphans and vulnerable in the following areas in the western side of this district which are NUTHURBURN VILLAGE, WADZANAI FARM, VILLAGES 16, 17, 15a AND b 13a and b in Tokwe 4 area. We have done the survey on the need of the birth registration to those O.V.Cs in these stated areas of our district. Even though we have seen the need for the birth registration we also identified more orphans in these areas such that some of the identified O.V.C.s is not even going to school and some are the family heads.
On top o that we came out with an approximate figure of about 700 O.V.C.s in need of registration on particular.
On top of that we have given 23 O.V.C.s some sort of entertainment by taking them to the Luna Park in Gweru on the 28th of July 2011 so that they can feel a bit weathy in this present dispensation and global village full of leisure and a lot of exiting and recreational facilities. More details in the quarterly report for we are still in the process of doing this to more of these exposed and vulnerable toddlers in our community
Challenges
• the major challenge at the moment is the issue of mobility, as an organization we do not have our own vehicle but we are used to borrow from our sister organization (faith based/church) Emmanuel Missions but it is still a very big problem to us since it is restricting our movements and exploiting most of our time into the vast.
• Regardless of the above stated issue we are also facing some problems in the sense of money. Our resources are so limited not because of us but due to the lack o the investor confidence from the well wishers due to the current economical constrains in our global village whilst the other outstanding problem is, we had invested most of our trust in the proposal to partner with UNICEF to carry out the national action plan for the orphans and the vulnerable children in Zimbabwe but the result was not to our favor.
• And we have lost almost all of our prospective funders both locally and regionally due to the prolonged process of registration we went through.
Even though it seems as our weakness are stronger than our strengths we are looking forward to a great exploits in this very near future.
Way forward
We are looking forward to intensify our fund raising projects and our financial lobbing programs.
Already in this we have received some cloths from a church in South Africa and we sent some to the Social Services Department (Mvuma) to administer.
On top of that we are starting on the registration project of which we are hoping for positive results in our district.
With compliments
M. Chumachata

Keep up with the good work Ps.Chumachata.
Goals can be achieved, only time tests patience and patience on its own is the medicine of the wiser.
Please give a blessed shout-out to the worldly poor but heavenly rich family of Ebenezer and the one of a kind family of Pa and Mom.
